From the past few months, we have seen smartphone manufacturers like Samsung and LG are trying really hard to launch it’s first foldable smartphone. Well, world’s first foldable smartphone is yet to arrive, but, it looks like, the foldable smartphones might be the reality soon.
According to the reports from The Korea Herald, Samsung has revealed the prototype of its first true foldable smartphone in front of a private audience on January 10 at CES 2018, which was held in Las Vegas.
An anonymous source said, “Samsung Display said it has developed a 7.3-inch foldable panel with plans to start production later this year”. So, it looks like Samsung will feature 7.3 inch OLED display that can be folded inward and outward.
Another source claims that the development of the foldable Samsung smartphone is ‘almost finished’ which would raise launch expectation. The upcoming foldable smartphone from Samsung would arrive in two version, the infolding and the outfolding.
The infolding type smartphone could go into production sometime around November this year and the outfolding one which will have less curvature rate than infolding will feature advanced next-generation technology to address durability issues.
