Facebook Bans All Ads For Bitcoin, ICOs, And Other Cryptocurrencies
As we have been talking about in several articles, the crypto-coins are one of the most discussed topics today.
For this reason, it is common now to see various ads, advertising, workshops, training, etc. on this subject. But the social network giant Facebook has recently announced new rules in which the social network giant Facebook clearly mentioned that it will simply ban advertising on crypto-coins.
If you’re aware of your Facebook feed, you’ve probably had a few ads on Bitcoins.
But such publications will cease to exist, as the social network giant Facebook has already announced that it will ban advertisements that promote financial services related to Bitcoins, Initial Coin Offering (ICOs) and other crypto-coins.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by Rob Leathern, the social network giant Facebook’s Product Manager, on the business page:-
“We have created a new policy that prohibits ads that promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings and cryptocurrency”.
This ban is now #29 of Facebook’s Advertising Policies:-
The main purpose of this ban is to prevent false publications, frauds and scams, which are intended to circumvent people.
We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through the social network giant Facebook’s ads without fear of scams or deception. That said, there are many companies who are advertising binary options, ICOs and cryptocurrencies that are currently operating in good faith.
Rob Leathern, the social network giant Facebook’s Product Manager also notes that there may be some ads that the social network giant Facebook does not detect, thus leaving the call for all users to report such publications whenever they see them.
In addition to the social network giant Facebook, this new policy will also be implemented on other social network giant Facebook’s platforms such as the Audience Network and Instagram.
So, what do you think about this new rules implemented by the social network giant Facebook on its platform? Do you agree with this new policy? Simply share all your views and thoughts in the comment section below.
