Facebook Removes Delete Post Option From Desktop Website

Social media giant, Facebook is taking lots of steps to improve its platform. A few days ago we have seen Facebook tested an Explore feed option in its Newsfeed. Facebook right now enjoys an unchallenged position in the world of social networks, it keeps trying new feature without any fear of losing the user base.
Recently, few users on Reddit and Twitter were found complaining that they were unable to delete their own post from the desktop version of Facebook. However, many others are still having the option to delete their post on a Facebook desktop version.
Well I just found out that @facebook has removed our ability to delete posts. You can "hide from timeline" if you feel like scrolling through your whole timeline, but you can't delete and you can't edit the post to be blank. Huh.
Hmmm, is it just me or have Facebook took away the option to delete my own post? If I posted a pic before and decided I didn't like it I always had the option to remove the post at the bottom of the menu
Well, this might be a bug or Facebook is testing an upcoming change. Whatever might be the reason, you still have the option to delete your own Facebook posts by going through the Activity Log. The activity log is the place which gives the clear view of what you share and do on Facebook, the option to delete your own post is still there.
But, the question is why would Facebook even test such a feature which restricts users from deleting their own posts? Well, Facebook uses the old posts for improving its advertising algorithms. Facebook also uses old status for Memories posts. There are also possibilities that Facebook might be tricking users to use their mobile app more often to delete posts.
Facebook hasn’t given any clarification on this. We will update this post when we will have a future update.
